Each year, Advocates hosts fun filled community events that provide vital funding for their many programs. Thank you for making our fundraising events such a huge success for over 30 years. Join us at the following annual events as we have fun while making a difference!

Big Chicken Christmas Concert

Each December our Christmas season begins with the wonderful sounds of the Marietta Big Chicken Chorus. Proceeds from this melodious event benefit Advocates for Children. This years event will take place on Sunday, December 3, 2015 in the sanctuary of Cartersville Presbyterian Church,  183 Main Street, Cartersville, GA 30120. The concert will begin at 2:00 PM but ticket holders are encouraged to come early to make those special photograph memories with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Church Fellowship Hall.  Bring your camera to snap all the photos your heart desires.

Polar Plunge
Join our warm-hearted community members as they take an icy plunge into the Dellinger Park Pool to raise money for Advocates. Each year, we reward our courageous jumpers with awards for best costume, most creative dive, and most money raised. If you’re not brrrave enough to take the plunge, you can still support the divers by grabbing a hot chocolate and cheering them on from the sidelines!

This year’s Frozen-themed Plunge is set for February 7, 2015!

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for this event. Please contact our Advocates for Children administrative offices for more information.

Every Child’s a Star
This annual Talent Show has been going strong since 1992 and continues to grow each year. Support our local community of talented youth ages K-12 as they sing, dance, play instruments, perform gymnastics, host a stand-up comedy routine, or woo us with a magic act! We encourage all kids to audition, and all community members to join us as we sit back and enjoy the show!

Duck Derby
Join us October 3, 2015 for our Annual Duck Derby at its new location: Terminus Wake Park and Rally Volleyball Pavilion of the LakePoint Sporting Community

You could walk away with $10,000, and the chance to win a million dollars!

The Duck Derby is a really quacky concept. To win the guaranteed Grand Prize of $10,000 cash, all you have to do is adopt a duck. Duck Adoptions range in price from $5-$250. Each duck you adopt will be released into the lake at Terminus Wake Park for the big Duck Derby. Quacky and his friends will put on a wake boarding show, pulling the winners from the water as they go. The first duck to be pulled from the water at Terminus will win the $10,000 grand prize! For the first time ever, in addition to the grand prize, we are also featuring the chance to win $1,000,000 with the Terry Reid Million Dollar Duck!
