Liz Fox

Director of Parents as Teachers (PAT)
Liz Fox hails from the big town of Ashtabula, Ohio, in the heart of the snowbelt. She has worked in the social services field in different capacities for close to 25 years and has a bachelor's degree in corrections from Kent State University. Liz is a trained Forensic Interviewer through Finding Words Georgia, a trained Nurturing Parenting facilitator, and has a Victim Advocacy Certificate from the National Children’s Advocacy Center and the University of Georgia. She is an avid runner and cyclist and an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. “I am very committed to providing a safe and responsible place for children in their time of great need and am privileged to be part of Advocates for Children, an organization that shares this philosophy.”

Cami James

Director of Positive Parenting Program (Triple P)
Cami James was born and raised in Cartersville. She left to attend the University of Georgia in 2005. While in Athens-Clarke County, she also served as an AmeriCorps member working with homeless and at-risk families. She returned in 2011 to work in Special Needs Pre-K for the Bartow County School System. She has been trained in the Positive Parenting Program, and strongly believes in the importance of loving, nurturing child development. Cami feels very blessed to be a part of the wonderful, impacting work of Advocates for Children.

Sue Greenman

Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) Family Engagement Specialist
Although a Yankee by birth, Sue is a Southerner at heart and loves being semi- retired and living in Georgia. She first became involved with Advocates as a CASA volunteer. Sue has almost 30 years of experience in the not for profit arena, most of that time as an Executive Director for the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation. “Working as a parent educator with Advocates for Children allows me to continue to pursue my lifelong commitment to improving the well being of mothers and children. I am proud to be part of this organization.”

Lori Shook

Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) Family Engagement Specialist
Lori Shook has been a Parent Educator for Hope in Your Home since the start of 2014. Prior to working at Advocates, she spent her time volunteering at the Women's Resource Center in Cartersville. Lori has a Marketing degree from The State University of West Georgia. She has been married for over 12 years and has 2 beautiful daughters. She is very enthusiastic about being a part of the Advocates family, and looks forward to serving the children of Bartow County.

Rachel Holbert

Family Engagement Specialist
Rachel Holbert began working with Advocates for Children in July of 2015. She received her Associate of Arts from Young Harris College where she was a member of the Susan B. Harris Society. She went on to graduate with honors from Dalton State College with a Bachelor of Social Work. Before coming to Advocates Rachel worked with the Law Enforcement Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources as the Region 1 Secretary. She also spent time as an intern with Cartersville City Schools and the SKORE Program. Rachel is excited to be able to positively impact the lives of children and families in the Bartow area through this remarkable organization.

D'von Morgan

Family Engagement Specialist
D’von joined Advocates as a Parent Educator in July 2015. Born and raised in Cartersville, Ga, she is a graduate of Cartersville High School as well as The University of West Georgia with a B.S. in Sociology. Prior to working for advocates, she has 5 years’ experience with DFCS and 5 years’ experience with Lookout Mountain CME. She enjoys singing, dancing and spending time with her friends and family. She is most excited about giving back to her community through helping children in need.

Chelsea Lewis

Family Engagement Specialist
Chelsea is originally from Blue Ridge and is a graduate of Dalton State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Chelsea joined Advocates in August of 2015 as a Parent Educator. She currently resides in Acworth with her husband, Edwin, and daughter, Aubre. She is thrilled to be working with Advocates where she can pursue her dreams while serving the families of Bartow County.

Mandy Frenier

Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) Coordinator
Mandy moved to Bartow County in 2012 after living in Paulding County for ten years. She is a graduate of Johnson University in Florida with a Bachelor’s in Education. She has taught in both public and private schools. She has been married to her college sweetheart for 19 years and has two daughters and one son. Mandy is very excited to be a part of an organization that does so much good for the children and families of our community.

Jean Howington

Family Engagement Specialist
Jean Howington began working at Advocates in August 2016. Originally from Marietta, she has a bachelor of arts in music from Presbyterian College. She has several years of experience working with children and youth in a variety of settings, including training others in child protection policies and the Darkness to Light - Stewards of Children - curriculum where she is a certified trainer. Additionally, she served on the Year of the Child task force for Greater Atlanta Presbytery 2000-2001, the Montreat Youth Conference Planning Team 2009. She is excited and proud to be a resource for and partner with the families of Bartow County.
