Volunteers don't necessarily have a lot of extra time;
they have heart
Volunteers are always
needed in nearly every aspect of Advocates. From leadership positions
on the Board of Trustees to preparing bulk mailings, we need your help
making a difference in the lives of children.
Here are examples of how you can help:
n Join the fun of planning & adopting ducks for the Annual Duck Race
n Preparing a meal or snack for Flowering Branch
n Planting annuals, sprucing up the landscaping
n Office duties
n Shopping for groceries or clothes
n Sorting donations
n Crafts, games, activities
n The Volunteen program for youth
n Mentoring through the "Jacob's Ladder" program
n Leading a skills class (cooking, tutoring, arts - you decide!)
n Project Safe Place site volunteer
n Group leaders for Rainbows grief and loss support groups
n Volunteen - volunteer your time with children in our shelter.
n Bartow Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) to advocate for the "Best Interest of the Child" in our court system
n "Every Child Is A Star," our annual children's talent show
n Special Events planning/coordination (Annual Meeting & others)
n Prepare/mail quarterly newsletter
n Fundraising
n Committee work
n Help plan the Pond and Garden Party
