Parenting comes with challenges, but no one has to do it alone. Advocates for Children’s in-home parent education program is a free service designed to support caregivers in building strong, healthy relationships with their children. Through one-on-one coaching, we help parents develop practical strategies to confidently manage behavior, prevent future challenges, and create a nurturing home environment where children can thrive.
PERSONALIZED SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES
Our program is open to all parents and caregivers in the community and is tailored to meet the unique needs of each family. We use two evidence-based curricula to provide guidance at different stages of parenting:
Positive Parenting Program (Triple-P) focuses on social and behavioral development, equipping caregivers with skills to address everyday parenting challenges, foster positive communication, and build confidence in family management. This curriculum serves families with children ages 16 and younger.
Parents as Teachers (PAT) provides early childhood development support, offering physical, social, and emotional screenings along with hands-on, activity-centered lessons. This two-year curriculum is available to families with children from prenatal through age 3.
CONNECTED SUPPORT THROUGH OUR FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER
In addition to in-home coaching, families are connected to community resources, parenting workshops, and peer support through our Family Resource Center. This collaboration ensures that families not only receive direct guidance at home but also have access to broader tools and services that promote long-term success.
