At Advocates, we love the support of our community and welcome their commitment as volunteers whenever possible. We are constantly in need of volunteers for many of our programs. See where your talents would be best served by exploring our volunteering opportunities below.
PLEASE NOTE: Court-ordered or mandated community service is not a current option at Advocates for Children.
Due to HIPAA Laws and our confidentiality policy, all volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
*Programs marked with “Special Requirements” require a background check, fingerprint screening, and drug screening.
We are always looking for volunteers! Advocates for Children offers different volunteer opportunities for those interested in making a positive impact in the lives of children, youth, and families.
If you want to become a tutor, mentor, or a CASA volunteer, please read below and follow the instructions to sign up.
Important Note:
By becoming a volunteer with a child-serving organization, it is required by law that one must report suspected child abuse.
If you can’t find a volunteer opportunity that fits your skills and would like to talk to an Advocates staff member about joining us in a different volunteer capacity, you can reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator, at alicia@advochild.org or call 770-387-1143, ext. 238. We will set up a phone call appointment to discuss further how you can contribute to our cause!
