At Advocates for Children, we believe that strong families build strong communities. The Family Resource Center provides critical support and essential resources to help stabilize families, prevent unnecessary foster care removals, and create safe, nurturing home environments for children.

SUPPORT FAMILIES IN NEED

Through referrals from child welfare agencies, families can access the Family Resource Center, where they receive concrete support to meet immediate needs such as beds, clothing, hygiene products, baby supplies, and more.

Families may also work with a Family Navigator, who provides one-on-one guidance to help them navigate essential services like housing, food assistance, healthcare, and employment resources. Beyond meeting urgent needs, Family Navigators support families in building long-term stability through coaching in financial literacy, budgeting, workforce development, credit repair, nutrition, and child safety.

By collaborating with community partners, faith-based organizations, and local support networks, the Family Resource Center connects families to ongoing support systems that promote self-sufficiency.
