Plant a Pinwheel.
Help Keep Children Safe This April

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time when communities come together around one belief: Every child deserves to grow up safe, supported, and surrounded by care.

Child abuse is preventable, and it takes all of us.

Across our community, pinwheels are spinning as symbols of hope and the joyful childhood every child deserves.

At Advocates for Children, we turn that hope into action every day:

  • Children find safety and begin healing at our Children’s Advocacy Center, a child-friendly place to share their story once and start the path forward

  • Through CASA of Northwest Georgia, we recruit and train volunteers to stand beside children entering foster care, ensuring their voices are heard and their best interests are protected

  • Youth at Newman House have a safe, nurturing home—free from abuse and neglect—where they gain stability, guidance, and support as they build independent futures

Now you can be part of this work:

  • Donate today and help us grow our Virtual Pinwheel Garden on our website, a visible symbol of our community standing up for children.

  • For every $25 donated, a pinwheel will be colored in our virtual garden. The garden is updated weekly throughout the month of April, and a list of our generous supporters will be added to the page as a way to say thank you.

Want to make an even greater impact?

Click the Fundraise button to create your own fundraising page and invite friends, family, and coworkers to help grow the garden and make our community safer for children.

You can even start a peer-to-peer fundraising team, a simple and powerful way to multiply your impact. In just a few clicks, you’ll create a personal page, share why this cause matters to you, and encourage others to give alongside you as we plant pinwheels together.

Your gift supports our work of protecting children, empowering youth, and uplifting families, right here in our community.
