In July, two RISE program clients joined the National Runaway Safe Line (NRS) Youth Advisory Board in Chicago. During the two-day event, they collaborated with federal officials, discussing NRS’ strategic priorities for increasing awareness and access to their 24/7 crisis services. The clients also engaged in a meeting with NRS’ Board of Directors.
Formerly living in a van with their toddler, these two clients now have a stable home, secure employment, and ongoing support from their RISE Case Manager. They successfully completed the program and are actively contributing to the national conversation on youth homelessness by sharing their stories and experiences.
