“No one has ever celebrated me like this!” – Our RISE Graduate
High school graduation is a major achievement for any teen. For foster children and youth experiencing homelessness, the path to the commencement stage can be particularly challenging so the celebration should be particularly sweet. This year, we celebrated the high school graduation of one of our Flowering Branch Children’s Shelter residents and one of our RISE Independent Housing Program clients. With the generous help of our community, we were able to shower our graduates with gifts, gift cards and an amazing party. The future is bright for our two graduates with one of them attending Chattahoochee Technical College to study Cosmetology and the other one attending Kennesaw State University to study Computer Science.
Thanks to your generosity, we were able to make our two high school graduates feel special and loved at our recent graduation party. Special thanks to our dear friend and Board Member, Dierdra Lanier, who organized this truly special day!
